This policy explains what data Boooks.NET collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Boooks.NET is operated by KaritKarma Limited. Identity and sign-in are handled by our identity provider, Wenme.

Account basics: the identifier, display name, and email address passed to us by Wenme when you sign in. We do not store or see your password.

Your library: the catalogue entries, notes, condition grades, photographs, loans, and listings you create on the service.

Usage data: basic technical information such as device type and pages viewed, used to keep the service reliable and to fix problems.

We use your data to run the service: to show your shelf, to record loans and marketplace activity, to tune the defaults you see, and to keep the platform secure. We do not sell your personal data.

The interests you choose during onboarding are used to order what you see. They are preferences, not a surveillance profile, and you can change them later.

Content is private by default. It becomes visible to others only when you choose to share a shelf, list an item, or lend to someone. We use a small number of service providers, such as our identity provider and hosting and communications partners, and share only what they need to perform their function.

We store your data on infrastructure operated for KaritKarma products and apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk.

You can view and edit your library and preferences at any time. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account. Identity settings, including revoking access and changing devices, are managed at your identity provider.
