Terms of Service

Boooks.NET is a collector platform for cataloguing, lending, and trading books, records, and other physical media. It is operated by KaritKarma Limited. These terms form an agreement between you and KaritKarma Limited governing your use of the service.

Identity and sign-in are handled by Wenme, our identity provider. You do not create a password with Boooks. You are responsible for keeping your Wenme credentials and devices secure, and for activity that happens under your account.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use Boooks. If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.

You keep ownership of the catalogue entries, notes, photographs, and other content you add. You grant Boooks a limited licence to store, display, and reproduce that content so we can run the service, for example to show your shelf to people you choose to share it with.

You are responsible for the content you upload. Do not post material you do not have the right to share, and do not post anything unlawful, hateful, or that infringes another person's rights.

Boooks helps you record loans and list items for sale or trade. Transactions and physical hand-offs happen between members. Boooks records the intent and the terms you set, but the condition, delivery, and settlement of any item remain the responsibility of the members involved.

Marketplace fees, where they apply, are shown before you confirm a listing or a purchase. We will always disclose a fee before you are charged.

Use Boooks for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, scrape it at scale, or use it to harass other members. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or these terms.

Boooks is offered on an as-available basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may perform maintenance that interrupts access. We aim to give notice of material changes where we reasonably can.

To the extent the law allows, Boooks is provided without warranties, and KaritKarma Limited is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
